Is Our Org Structure Working?

The Challenge
We recently worked with a Commercial Property Maintenance Company.

The question asked: Does our organisation structure work for maximum efficiency?

One of the fundamental factors influencing an organisations or business divisions success
is its structure. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and lose sight of the bigger
picture. Every business leader or manager must ascertain if their current structure works in
their favour or if they’re inadvertently working for it. Moreover, how can leaders and
managers free themselves up to focus on strategic growth and driving the business forward?

We worked with the company’s business leaders and managers divisions to determine
whether they were spending more time managing the structure than leveraging it for
success.

Assessed the Relationship with the Company’s Structure
We worked with the company’s business leaders and managers to determine whether they
were spending more time managing the structure than leveraging it for success. By deeply
understanding the business needs and partnering with stakeholders at all business levels,
we were able to tailor a solution that would optimise success for our client.

The Importance of a Well-Designed Structure
Here’s a summarised version of our recommendation: A well-designed organisational
structure sets the foundation for efficiency, productivity, and growth. It ensures that resources
are allocated effectively, tasks are delegated efficiently, and communication flows
seamlessly.

Conversely, a flawed structure can impede progress and hinder decision-making.
The Strategy Used to Implement an Effective Org Structure: Evaluate the Current Structure;
Define Roles and Responsibilities; Establish a Clear Chain of Command; Empower
Employees; Foster Collaboration and Communication; Continuously Adapt and Evolve.

Conclusion:
It is essential to ensure that your organisational structure is a catalyst for success rather than
a hindrance. By working with our client, we were able to implement an optimal organisation

structure which ensured the sustainable growth of the company. This also ensure RoI and
budget accountability across the business units and the company as a whole.
